It is our intention to create an informative and exciting scientific program that emphasises significant achievements in green and sustainable chemistry by drawing together the latest discoveries made by university, government, institute and industry-based researchers; their innovative translation by technology developers and their industrial implementation by process engineers and manufacturers.
The scientific program will thus link emerging aspects of the design and synthesis of new molecules and materials; the impact of life cycle analysis; the role of process intensification, valorisation and automation; advances in real time monitoring methods; economic modelling of green chemical processes; key components of molecular toxicology and de novo planned hazard reduction; the latest government policy and regulatory initiatives, developments at the interface between green chemistry, nanotechnology and industrial biotechnology, and all aspects of chemical sustainability in manufacture implementation, ranging from bulk chemicals to fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, polymers and composite materials, and the energy, mining, food and environmental industry sectors.
